TripAdvisor falls in love with Gozo seaside resort
The world is slowly falling in love with Xlendi – if the latest reviews on TripAdvisor are anything to go by.
Tourists from around the globe have gone online to shower praise on the tiny Gozo seaside village.
As we revealed last week, Xlendi Bay is THE best place to watch the sun go down across the Mediterranean Sea.
And it seems TripAdvisor users just can’t get enough of it either.
A Tripadvisor user from Dublin wrote: ‘It’s absolutely beautiful.
‘Really enjoyed a day at Xlendi Bay and have made a mental note to go back and stay a few days and nights sometime soon.
‘Stunning cliffs and bay, beautiful azure waters lovely to swim in.
‘Lovely quayside area with plenty of shops, bars and eateries. Magnificent place, one of the nicest I saw in Gozo.’
A visitor from Canada posted: ‘Xlendi is one of my favourite spots on Gozo.
‘It has pristine water and their restaurants of varying prices, lining the bay on three sides.
‘I have eaten at a few places and it is well worth the visit. Nothing nicer than a great meal with stunning views topped off by a wonderful glass of wine.’
One man from Bristol wrote: ‘I was recommended to visit this place by someone I met in Valletta and it hasn’t disappointed.
‘Lovely scenery and restaurants.’
A holidaymaker from Hong Kong posted: ‘There’s something magical about Xlendi.
‘The view from the cliffs is breathtaking and very peaceful. There is a very nice walkway along the cliffs with picnic tables, so take a picnic along and relax and enjoy the fabulous view!’
A reviewer from Malta commented: ‘Visit Xlendi in summer and it’s great – the sea is beautiful, clean and deep.
‘Visit Xlendi in winter and it’s an entirely different experience – quiet, relaxing, magnificent views and somehow the sea and the surrounding cliffs look and feel completely different.
