Malta is one of the world’s most Instagrammable places
The Maltese island of Comino has been named one of the most ‘Instagrammable’ places in the world.
With its crystal clear waters, the Blue Lagoon has been included in a list of Instagram ‘like traps’.
Comino even beat Australia’s Sydney Harbour Bridge in the survey of British holidaymakers.
The respondents were asked what they considered to be the most iconic holiday photos for Instagram, ones ‘they’d one day like to capture themselves’.
From the Maldives to Dubai, this is the top 10.
1. Swing in the Sea, Maldives
2. The Sail Hotel, Dubai
3. The Colosseum, Italy
4, The Blue Lagoon, Malta
5. Cliffside swimming pools, Santorini
6. Niagara Falls, America
7. Sydney Harbour Bridge, Australia
8. Central Park, New York
9. The Northern Lights, Iceland
10. The Eiffel Tower, France
George Charles from VoucherCodesPro, who commissioned the research, said: ‘Technology means that holidaymakers are able to share their favourite travel memories with so many of their loved ones with just one click.
‘These beautiful places offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and are worth a visit – Instagram or no Instagram.’
