Malta’s capital city was found to be significantly less expensive than the likes of Edinburgh, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Barcelona.
Eastern Europe continues to dominate the list of best-value capitals, with Valletta coming just outside the top 10 in 11th place.
Meals, drinks and other tourist costs in the Maltese capital were the fifth cheapest in the survey, although accommodation costs were higher than in the top 10 cities.
